Creamy Basil Sauce

A creamy sauce made with basil, garlic, and Parmesan; serve with pasta or chicken! Serves 6.


  • 2 cups fresh basil
  • 4 cloves garlic (finely diced)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 ounces pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan (grated)
  • salt and pepper for seasoning
  • 2 cups cream (light)


  1. Place basil and garlic in a food processor, process while adding in the oil slowly. Process for thirty seconds or until thick. Add in the nuts and cheese, process for an additional minute.
  2. In a pan over low heat, bring cream to a simmer. Once simmering, pour cream immediately into processor with basil mixture, and then pulse for twenty seconds. Pour mixture into pan with remaining cream, and bring back to a simmer. Let cook for about five minutes, or until thick, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
